KJV Bible App allows users to read the authorized version of the King James Bible, complete with the archaic spellings and verbiage preferred by many scholars.

While there are innumerable translations of the holy scriptures into so many languages these days, many students and believers prefer the classic 1611 King James Version. Bible readers have loved it for centuries, and this app gives you the freedom to search through the full text looking for favored verses.

Best of all, it's in the public domain in an overwhelming majority of countries. That means you can quote verbatim from the app's text and you won't have to worry about copyright regulations.

Ironically, the app also includes the text of the considerably more modern New International Version. This translation was originally released in 1978, and it provides an interesting alternative to the more popular KJV. While you can't actually read them side-by-side, there's nothing preventing you from finding the same verse in each for comparison.

You can, however, switch on a parallel reading mode that does make comparing different translations a little easier. Those who are looking to study the underlying Greek New Testament should like the fact that the New King James text is included with the app as well.

Users can write custom notes, which are visible even when you're not connected to a network. Those who are looking to engage in offline devotional reading should find it easy to download a complete text and load it directly from their phone's internal memory.
